Chapter 1: Inception–A Spark Ignited along the Huangpu River
In 1985, CSSC Huahai was founded in response to the call of the times. The founding team brought together key talents from CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard, MARIC, and SDARI. As the only remaining “veteran” among the original eight specialized companies under CSSC Group, CSSC Huahai proactively shouldered the mission of advancing the localization of marine equipment. Over four decades of dedication, CSSC Huahai has delivered to the global market a total of 6,100 shipsets of hatch covers, 250 shipsets of Ro-Ro Access equipment, 460 shipsets of windlass & mooring winches, and 60 shipsets of lashing systems. The company has consistently maintained the leading domestic market share in hatch covers, with its products serving most shipowners worldwide. CSSC Huahai has been recognized as a Shanghai High-Tech Enterprise and successfully earned a place among the “Little Giant” enterprises in this category.
