CSSC Huahai’s Hydraulic Pump Station for 2450 CEU PCTC Ro-Ro Ship Passes First Acceptance Test Successfully
Recently, CSSC HuaHai successfully completed the first acceptance test for the hydraulic pump station of the Ro-Ro Equipment system – a key component of the high-end 2450 PCTC Ro-Ro ship for Hoegh Autoliners from Norway, one of the world’s largest Ro-Ro shipowners.
Representatives from CSSC Huahai, the shipowner, and the shipbuilder China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) gathered on-site to witness this technological milestone.
For its first collaboration with Hoegh Autoliners—an international shipping giant known for its strict quality standards, CSSC Huahai swiftly assembled a core project team, breaking away from conventional approaches to deliver a closed-loop hydraulic system. This system boosts higher efficiency, excellent temperature control, and a more compact structure. The core pump of this solution adopts a highly integrated structural design, optimizing pipeline layout and reducing leakage risks, fundamentally enhancing system reliability and maintenance convenience, and laying a solid technical foundation for the stable operation of the pump station.
In the quality control process, CSSC Huahai intervened from the source of project planning and meticulously planned the entire supply chain process. Aiming at the challenges of the first application of the closed-loop control system, it formulated a refined and high-standard implementation plan. Meanwhile, relying on an advanced supply chain management system, it dynamically monitored material inventory, precisely coordinated logistics, and compressed the procurement lead time cycle of key components by 20%.
Ultimately, the hydraulic pump station not only overcame technical hurdles but also achieved a breakthrough by completing the entire construction process two months ahead of schedule. During the acceptance test, shipowner and shipyard representatives conducted rigorous evaluations and praised the product’s stability and quality.
