Recently, the RoRo-/Passenger-Vessel „ZHONG YUAN HAI YUN ZHI XING“, built by GSI shipyard for Xiamen MinTai Ferry Co., Ltd., was successfully delivered in Guangzhou, China. As the first modern energy-saving and environmentally friendly RoPax-Vessel for direct cross-strait routes, its official entry into service further strengthens the economic & trade cooperation as well as personnel exchanges across the strait. Leveraging its leading technology in Ro-Ro equipment, CSSC Huahai provided critical technical support for its construction, contributing to its efficient and smooth delivery.

Innovative Equipment Improves Ro-Ro Transport Efficiency

MV “ZHONG YUAN HAI YUN ZHI XING” has an overall length of 180 meters, a beam of 25.8 meters, and container capacity reaches 426 TEUs. It can accommodate 300 passengers while supporting the transport of various Ro-Ro cargoes, including cars and trucks. The adjustable hydraulic ramp equipment, designed and developed by CSSC Huahai, form the core Ro-Ro system of this ship. The intelligent, adjustable mechanism of this system can automatically adapt to port tidal differences, realizing the rapid turnover of passengers and goods in a separated manner, effectively contributing to the „24-hour logistics circle“ across the Taiwan Strait.

CSSC Huahai has a long-standing cooperation with GSI, especially since the launch of the independent HUAHAI-brand in December 2021.
